About Us

Officially registered in in 2019, Positive Space Nunavut has been organizing grassroots youth mentorship and inclusive events at Inuksuk High School in Iqaluit since 2014. This society grew from an extracurricular high school program, Positive Space Club, led by teachers and volunteers to provide leadership skills and fun events to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies. Positive Space Nunavut now provides 2SLGBTQIA+ resources to Nunavut schools, and organizes inclusive community initiatives in Iqaluit. Positive Space Nunavut is run by teacher volunteers and members of the community and relies on government funding and community donations.
